These base item names come from the legacy design. Exact item versions, quantities, quality, durability, binding, tradeability, and replacement rules remain open.

Starting item

Sword

A basic close-combat weapon for the opening inventory.

Starting item

Helmet

A basic protective item for the opening inventory.

What Fighter means

A practical opening inventory.

  • Profession-themed starting equipment or tools
  • An immediate way to attempt actions supported by those items
  • A suggested first direction the player is free to abandon

What it does not mean

Not a progression system.

  • No starting skill level or experience in this profession
  • No statistic, affinity, perk, or passive effect
  • No exclusive ability or equipment family
  • No permanent class or profession lock
  • No change to race or race-bonus decisions
  • No increase beyond 100 total skill points

After character creation

The profession must still be earned.

Using the starting items may let the character begin relevant actions, but only server-validated play can build the correlating skills.

Practice

Actions train skills

The item enables an action; it does not contain completed progress.

Choice

Change direction freely

The character can later equip different items and train different skills inside the same finite budget.

Specialize

Allocation creates mastery

A profession emerges from concentrated earned points, methods, tools, and service history—not from the starting-class label.
